Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the SaaSLayer website, console, command-line tool, and APIs (the "Service"). SaaSLayer is operated by David Wells, a sole proprietor, in San Rafael, CA, United States ("SaaSLayer", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

SaaSLayer is a platform built on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It provides user accounts, sign-in, permissions, and deployments of SaaSLayer services into AWS accounts that you own or control.

Your account

  • You must give accurate information when you create an account, and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at saaslayerco@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • If you create an account for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.

Your AWS accounts

When you connect an AWS account, you authorize SaaSLayer to create, update, and remove the resources needed for the deployments you request in that account. You remain responsible for that AWS account, including its AWS charges and its compliance with AWS's terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or violate anyone else's rights using the Service.
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages through the Service.
  • Try to access accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Disrupt, overload, or attack the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Your data

You own the data you put into the Service. You give us permission to process it only to provide the Service to you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

SMS messaging

  • Program name: SaaSLayer account verification.
  • Description: If you add a mobile phone number to your account, SaaSLayer sends you one-time verification and sign-in codes by text message. We do not send marketing messages.
  • Message frequency: Varies. You receive a message each time you sign in or verify your phone number with SMS.
  • Cost: Msg & data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one message confirming you have opted out. After opting out, you will need another way to sign in, such as email.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message, or email saaslayerco@gmail.com.
  • Delivery: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: See our Privacy Policy. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Fees

If you use a paid part of the Service, the price and payment terms will be shown to you before you are charged. Charges from AWS for resources in your own AWS account are billed by AWS, not by SaaSLayer.

Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change or discontinue parts of the Service. If we change these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the SaaSLayer console before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Ending your use

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers and limits of liability, continue to apply after your access ends.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SaaSLayer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Marin County, California.
